I've asked to the core devs about the limited region denoising issue because I'm not sure if it could be a problem on the plugin side of if it is a core limitation.
Thanks,

Hi,
Yesterday I installed the latest NVIDIA driver.
No positive results though, still a crash.
But, I did some more testing, and disabled Out Of Core.
Still got a renderfailure, but no more crashes from Lightwave/Octane.
So , like Lewis already said, something is acting up in the Out of Core routines.
Thanks,
Hans

It is a pity.
But what about Octane's native region limit?
Thanks

Any sight of an update?
Were you able to reproduce my problems with the scene I sent you?
Thanks
Hans

Early next week I'll release a new plugin build including the latest RC1 core, that perhaps could help with your issue. Lewis has found that at least in his system the memory-related CUDA errors only happen when you are rendering with the display GPU. With it disabled, all seems to work fine. I hope that this could help to finally this issue, that to me seems related to some kind of bug in the NVIDIA drivers.
Thanks,
-Juanjo

So here's whats possibly a dumb question.
Why is it that octanes Texture image nodes only offer 3 level selection of UV's to choose from?
Are we limited to only 3? or is their a way around this.
thx

This is an Octane core limitation, to save GPU memory it only allows 3 UV maps in each object at the same time.

Some new information about this Topic?
Like Carlos said, the possibility of beeing able to use denoiser on limited region would be a mileston in workflow optimization.
And the next step would be the combination with animated limited region plugin of odtools for animated objects
