Regarding network rendering. I don't know if it's a plugin-in issue or not.
Check your firewall and antivirus software. Disable for testing.

I've checked that. Doesn't resolve. However, I see that the standalone Octane also doesn't see slaves either. I will assume this is not a plugin issue.

Iceman9,

I know this won't be of great help to you, but I am using 2018.1.2 Enterprise and my networking is working fine. Slaves recognized inside C4D with the plugin as well. I actually just purchased and installed 2018.1.1 yesterday, and had to update today, but both were/are working fine.

It's gotta be some sort of setup issue. Maybe try a different daemon port. I use 5405.

Thanks for trying to help. It's always worked in the past and was working over the weekend. W/installation of 2018.1.2 it's just not now. I tried 5405 but no luck.

Its def something wierd with network access, since its the only part that can cause problems if license is working, it has same ports and everything just runs.
One way would be for you to delete Firewall rules and set them up manualy to Allow network access for octane.exe, octane_slave.exe, octane_slave_daemon.exe, octane-cli.exe in Standalone folder and CINEMA 4D.exe in cinema4d folder.

Yeah, sorry Iceman9. But Tomsvfx has a good idea. You could turn your firewall off momentarily on both machines for a quick test.

I use Binisoft Windows Firewall Control and add rules for every app as it requests them. Hope you figure it out.

Update:

It wasn't a MS firewall issue...but a firewall setting on the router. Finally...issue resolved.

Thanks to those that offered advice.

Thanks but it's not directly a plugin related issue. Anyway it should be about gpu hardware issues. Do you have overclocked gpus or insufficient PSU?
It is a EVGA 1600 G2 PSU and no overclocking at all. But here is the really odd thing, it is not crashing this morning... so that is awesome. I will return if the issue reappears.
