I haven't had time to add it due to working on different things. Bug fixes, improvements, etc..
and windows demo package has dlls for normal version, so crashed by this reason I believe. Fixed the package.

I have a strange bug though. I opened an older scene from 2017 and by rendering it, Cinema crashes without an error message. With Octane V4.02.1 the scene renders without any problems. I did some testing and noticed that a few Materials cause this Issue. Actually the textures seems to be the problem. I was able to fix the issue by renaming the same textures and reconnecting them in the material. They are all located within the regular tex folder. Renaming and reloading all the textures would be pretty unpractical, any idea what causes this?
Thanks,
Tobi
Hi again,
I tried your scene in R18/R19. I cannot see any problems. How to reproduce the crash?

demo now work.
1. but Spectron's original problem is not solved.
2. and to much noise in env
Who needs a useless Vectron when people more often work with light?
3. old problem to (viewport transparent) often appears
until you enter the material and
forcibly update its preview, the objects in the viewport remain transparent
Crash got out when I just did a resize of the LV window
The problem with freezing Cinema4d and VDB and particles disappeared which was in RC6.1.
There is no information about these fixes. (take an example log fixes from RS)
here is the "final release v5")

Also why is there a shadow in the middle of the spotlight beam?
The attachment Screen Shot 2019-03-19 at 5.11.05 PM.jpg is no longer available
It's in the Light Settings tab of the octane light tag.

Aoktar,
Is there any method for controlling the distance of the scatter medium in the spectron light? I figured out how to control the angle (apparently a function of the cone angle in the details tab for those wondering but it's not exact at all).
Have you created any documentation on how to work with this object in Cinema 4D? Thanks for all your hard work!

Is this release considered stable or release candidate? Please update the title.

I want to use them, I just don't want to see them. Aoktar answered this in a later post.

Wonders never cease as the Render develops, to including what will happen as to Octane Ray tracing with the upcoming new drivers supposed to enable Ray tracing' in in GTX cards supposedly due out in April according to Nvidia. Likely others that are considering new RTX cards due to pricing and Cuda core counts, have similar wonders when it comes to Octane Render Ray Tracing and how the quality and time rendering will be seen. I wonder if Nvidia has released any Drivers' of that sort to OTOY in preparation for said April release.

Can anyone confirm me NVlink is working with 2 X 2080ti ? I have loaded a heavy scene and no NVlink features seem to kick in ? Where is the magic button ? I have activated SLI in NVIDIA control panel and updated to the latest driver but the liveviewer from C4D is not showing any extra info, nor the render log. help.

is this version already supposed to work with the "All Access" Subscription? I cannot get it licensed, tried both Studio and Enterprise versions of the plugin. OSX 10.12.13 here with C4D prime 20.057.
