And why do I have to set Gamma to 1 to begin with?

Thanks
Hi coilbook,
Octane seems work fine, your hdri has not a good dynamic range setting.
HDRI have to set 1, linear range is from 0 to 1.

Can we update Nvidia drivers with this release of Octane?

Hi SergKlyosov,
Yes, you can; latest Nvidia drivers works with v2018.1 RCx and 4.02.1 but not with 4.01.1.

Thanks Paride,
Could you tell me how to adjust the sky and the Sun brightness separately. Do I use this HDR dialog? And if yes what do I need to change. Do you have a sample scene by any chance with HDR map I sent you

Thank you!

i think the HDR load settings have no affect when using Octane as a renderer.

The slowdowns during work seem indeed realated to the plugin. The more I use the material editor the slower 3dsmax gets. Noticed yesterday during conversion and editing a lot of materials.

Will there be improvements soon?

same here. When editing mesh/modeling and then using octane viewport slow down gets worse and worse and 3ds max must be restarted. Please look into it, otoy

Hi Pairde,
Could you give an advice on HDR Sky. In RC7 version I never had this problem with the Sun being too bright

Thanks
