In the preview I can get scatter and volume objects to render but unfortunately not in the manager... is this just my problem or a known bug?

Thanks a lot

John
What's manager? I didn't understand what you mean
Sorry I'm working with the German C4D Version. I'm just talking about the main render function. I don't know how it's called in English. Render manager?
So back to my question: Should scatter and volume really work? I tried EVERYTHING!!!!

I think he means he's having problems with Picture viewer, not sure if you checked this but make sure your primitive spheres don't have "Render Perfect" on and make sure your cloners don't have "Render Instance" on.

I have been generating particles via Octane Tag for years, I still forget that stupid checkbox 10% of the time. ;)

Is it possible, that highlight compression (set to 1) isn't applied to the denoised beauty rendered in picture viewer? Or am I missing some settings? In Live viewer everything is fine. Rendered in picture viewer gives me this result (see image attached).
I need to check stuff with linear workflow etc. where my knowledge is very bad, but I tried to set everything to linear.

I didn't checked but With Linear buffer type on passes, you should not expect Camera Imager applied. Linear means that's having pure(untouched) render results. No gamma, not Imager effect

Nothing BUG I suppose. did you really tried everythings? For example make a new scene, switch to Octane and add scatter or volume. And done! Isn't?

Hi Ahmet,

we did some test renders with the new build today and noticed that our renders always stopped after 40 - 70 frames, when we had a denoiser pass activated. If we turn off the denoiser pass everything rendered fine, no problem. The log showed the denoiser cuda error. Are we missing something? Do we need a new cuda version?

Otherwise the build is pretty amazing and works great for us.

Thanks for the hard work,

Martin

Hi. I had the same problem + some random crashes when rendering or when working with live viewer. I hope V4 will get "stable" soon.
