You cannot use other materials with Blend material but ok to use it with mix materials. What's reason of using standard materials in blend?
Btw I cannot reproduce crash, could you send a bugreport?

As mentioned above by DINF, I also already have a lot of standard library materials and i want to know if i can quickly use them with the new blend system .
I understand that the optimal way would be to redo all links with a subMat, but sometimes I think I would not have time. That's why I'm learning about these possibilities.

Blend and mix material is similar in depth. Both are built on top mix system in Octane core side, but blend material is offering a better way to hold and edit submaterials.
Currently it's not implemented to connect and convert any other materials. I'll check it for future. Better way is to implement a converter for mixed setups to blend setup. It's more safe way for me atm.

I am having an issue with motion blur. It seems that as soon as i turn on the Motion Vector pass, the motion blur stops working.
The pass also doesn't look like anything I'd expect. (just 4 colors mapped as squares over the entire scene)

Infochannels switching happens to me as well - though it doesn't bother me much.

I am having a problem with the Sky Object in 3.08-RC4 (I haven't tested this in previous versions/RCs). The problem is that when I add an Octane Texture Environment and look at the Environment Tag the Texture is assigned as an RgbSpectrum. When I try to change this to a Gradient, the control breaks and I cannot control the Gradient or reassign to RgbSpectrum or any other Texture type. This is not a problem when you first create the Sky Object, only when you deselect/reselect the Sky Object in the Object Manager.

I am also getting a random switch from pathtracing to infochannel kernel. Not sure what key i'm pressing but it's happening a lot on this project. Is there a keyboards shortcut table posted anywhere I can look at?
