Do you plan to add these icons to the node inspector, as they are in the standalone?
I find them very usefull.
NODE INSPECTOR / DEAULT
is it possible to have the default scene in the node inspector when starting octane?
i thought that the node inspector would remember the layout of the nodes.
NODE INSPECTOR SKETCHUP VS STANDALONE
when i use the standalone and import the objects i have a very some layout in the node inspector.
when i open octane in sketchup the node inspector is more complicated.
i like the simple layout of the standalone, but that might be a sketchup limitation?
not that important.
bery good to see some updates on this plugin.

The node inspector UI is part of the Octane SDK; updates to it come from the SDK team, I can't modify it much from the SU plugin. I believe the intention is to eventually bring the SDK UI up to parity with the standalone app, but I can't give you a schedule for that.

I'll look into this.

This is a consequence of the "sandbox" design, where the node inspector shows only the materials and not the whole scene. The node layout is build in a different way to the standalone app. There's certainly still room for improvement there, and I plan to experiment with the node layout.

Sheiken wrote:I noticed Octane creates some log files on startup.
Here are the three last lines from a startup that ended in a BugSplat:
I0314 17:26:06.307763 29368 app_manager.cpp:82] ApplicationManager Init Complete
I0314 17:26:11.988766 29368 mat_manager.cpp:72] MaterialManager Destroyed
I0314 17:26:11.988766 29368 oct_manager.cpp:69] OctaneManager Destroyed
MaterialManger and OctaneManager DESTROYED does not sound right...
Those two lines are just part of the normal shutdown process. It looks as though the plugin didn't get very far through its startup process before something went wrong and it had to shut down. I'll investigate this.

No bug splat so far....
Proxies don't save materials, they are gone when I reopen SU file.
If I have to scale the obj > also gone.....
Thanks for supplying a test scene, will investigate.

Is there any information we can send to you to help you investigate all those bug splats?

UV bug
Every texture (UV transform) are scaled with a foot value in cm??? (I´m working in m). In SU it display foot, but when i click it change to m.
Trying to scale the texture in SU and the material get several spontaneous clones and vanishes. See picture. Very strange???
Edit: Actualy it´s inches> 1000mm in SU/25,4= Displayed value in Octane

Hidden Layers and hidden objects are being rendered every time I start the plugin.
