Hmm, weird. Here it works fine, and I can't see in the code something that could crash the node GUI. Are you sure that you have not mixed two version of the plugin or something like that? Perhaps you should re-install the plugin in your Layout. This version has some new nodes and perhaps there is a problem if it is not re-added.
Anyway, anybody else has this problem?

juanjo here a little bit explanation,
if i install the V 3.06 beta the first time also is all fine. the cables are green and blue etc.pp...i can add from the node menu default set ups etc.pp...also the instance renderings would work. but if i close the layouter and start him new all cables are yellow,the node menu is grey and octane would not render longer any instances. all other functions work. spooky

its a ghost in the machine! LOL

trust me i deinstall the V 3.06 plug in version correct...i remove the master plug in,de-install the plug in in the plug in edit menu....after that i install V 3.05.3 all work fine....but if i close than the layouter and start it new and load a scene....this is happen...
this scene was before saved with the v 3.05.3 version....and now he tell me that the actuell plug in version is 3060002 and he need 3050300 LOL

ok i found the problem. in my .cfg was more than one destination for the plug loading path...so he load more than one Octane versions (3.010xx and V 3.06)...the ghost its now dead! LOL

typical user fail!

Hi Juanjo, could we get a shortcut keyboard button for IPR_Reset so we could have the IPR window without buttons on top ?
How can we adjust IPR window position in borderles mode ?
Are we getting a fix for the displacement node which crashes (GUI bug) ?

Boris,
The IPR window in borderless mode was a custom design for a user that needed the Octane IPR in full-screen for a real-time VR application. This is why it currently can be placed, but I'll think about it.
I'm waiting for the new 3.06 Octane API to release a new plugin build, that of course, will have the displacement node issue fixed. The new 3.06 API is important because it should fix also the critical freeze problem that we have aborting the rendering or closing or rescaling the IPR window.

Hi,
i'm actually discovering the very good Hurley UP (flex liquids) plugin, which uses object sequences and experience many freezes with dragging the timeline in IPR 'full update' mode : both with 3.05 & 3.06 versions...
i can't confirm at 100% the following point actualy but it seems caustics are more present (more grainy) with 3.06 version (pathtracing) but this shoud be perhaps a consequence of diffrent default settings i presume... again i'm perhaps wrong with this...

Juanjo, I could actually really use that Test 4 version as soon as you can make it... The new shadow pass is like a godsend, and I am itching in a big way to have this in LW.
