xcaseyx - I've seen that amfaltec rig, it looks cool but a bit messy for the office I'm in. Out of interest, how much was it (not including the cards, just the PSU + hardware)?
3dworks / Dan - how loud is it when it's rendering? And is live viewer performance pretty responsive still?

There is no recognisable delay in LV in my experience as long as you set priorities right. I've got all ticked on except the internal GPU and it's amazingly fast. Regarding noise, when my PC and the expander are both having fan speed up to their maximum it becomes noisy but to a level I can live with. I've got music playing in the background which distracts from the fans
3dworks wrote:about temperatures, i don't know. i'm totally confident that the internal protection will care about too high temperatures. the case ventilation never went up to an audible noise level until now. the card fans are rather quiet as well, so all seems within a certain margin. but i am not using overclocked cards, just standard versions. and yes, it's a nice heating in the winter, but a pain if you have to render animations in the summer heat

Just check if your fans are self-adjusting speed to workload because mine don't. I had to manually put them on max fan speed, which is noisier but necessary considering the high temperatures inside the case.

my setup is not generating much noise. basically i never got fans running at full speed until now. maybe it is because my version of turbobox is GPU dedicated and has a powerful 1200 WAT power unit. btw the model name is NT-NA250A-GPU i guess i posted wrong name before. delay with IPR is just a few seconds over gigabit switch network.

Hi Dan,
I'd like to know how about using both machines at the same time in differents tasks.
How is your experiencie when you are editing job "A" in the workstation (c4d,cad,BIM,Photoshop..whatever) and e-GPU is rendering another job "B" in octane?
All run smoothly? If so, I think it's best advantage of this build.
Thanks

Hi Dan it looks like there is enough room to house dual fan cards without them getting too hot.
Is there enough of a gap between the cards to allow for the dual fan 970s to breath?
Usually if you stack dual fan cards they get super hot. Just wondering how much room there is between the cards.
Aslo where did you buy this from?
Thanks
