it seems like v2.1 has brought many changes in the maxscript connectivity.
My octane shortcuts script has problems with the new version
Most important buttons now do not work.
I'll update the script when I'll have the time to update it.
best,

HELP!
I just installed this version and went back to 2.21.1 and when I open an Octane scene Max hangs/crashes (AppHangB1) as soon as I open the Material editor.
Tried other releases as well...

Could that be because of your default max scene that is maxstart.max which has version 2.1 materials already set at mat editor.
Or your default material library that loads at startup

This is what I did:
Installed this version, went back to 2.21.1, opened a scene I saved with this release (2.21.1) opened the Material Editor -> Max crashes/hangs up.

I had an edited MaxStart file but I just reverted back to scanline.
Open Max, switch to Octane, open Material Editor, get Octane Material -> Crash/Hangs

uninstall octane before downgrading then?
you can try merging the scene into an empty scene.
