glad I found this thread, I thought I might have been the only one having this problem! (see my other thread here on the c4d forum page)

Exactly the same problem here, the render layer masks don't quite line up, and seem to have noisey edges. Interestingly, even if you increase the samples for the info channels above 1024, the render layers won't render any more samples than that.

Yeah, would be great to have this fixed in the next release.

I also noticed the naming conventions for the passes have changed and are now more abbreviated (for example Object ID was previously ObjId#### and is now OID_####) I know it's a bit picky but I think the previously used, slightly longer names are better, and make more sense to me. I like the underscore separating the pass name and frame number though.

Looking forward to the next release! Thanks, guys!

Ahmet, I've tried out the latest release for the C4D plugin, and I'm still not getting object masks to line up with other passes. I figured out my issue with the blocky result of the UV map, but this mask issue is still a serious problem.

Whats also concerning is that if I just isolate the render and check "alpha channel" instead of doing all the object masking stuff, THAT alpha channel thats generated ALSO doesn't line up. There is something inherently wrong with the C4D octane plugin and calculating alpha channels. This is going to be a huge deal-breaker for compositing.

not fixed? How did you get this result from my post? It should be fixed on 2.23.1.

No no, I meant that I thought it was fixed in 2.22.2, but you told me to watch the release thread so I was just saying that I will check the latest RC. I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Ok. Sorry for misunderstanding. I'll update to 2.23.1 RC2 due a mistake on parameters of imagetexture
