Thanks for all the replies!

Here is a break down of what I used.

Colorista II, for basic correction and tone.
Particular II, for floating particles, using AE's camera to get DOF within particle field. (creating a large spread and lowering gravity to near zero)
Allot of Andrew Kramers Optical flares.
Shine, for volumetric light.

I actually used C4D to finish the animation portion of this instead of blender It seemed a little easier to control. I am looking forward to using the new Blender 2.5 export script though. The orbiting portion of the animation i used Octane's built in turntable animation function which was a huge time saver.
