HERE WE GO
Thanks Chopper

You have the Octane focus set to the Poser camera focus - so the Octane camera "Focal depth" should be sync to the current Poser camera "focus_Distance" slider, which can be animated. I just did a test, and all appears to be in order. If you feel the Octane Focal depth is wrong - you can double check by a) exporting frame 113 to OCS and checking the focal depth in Octane Standalone, and then b) Exporting the animation to OCS/ORBX, then open in Octane Standalone, move to frame 113 and check the focal depth - they should be the same.

Okay, I did some experimentation. I still think it's a bug. When I go to frame 113 and checked the settings the focal point is out of focus and set to 5.24256 . So the only way to get into focus is to use AF icon site click on the icon. Click on a head point that I want to focus usually the face bingo that works and the new focal point is 3.63741.
So this is now being entered into the settings I go to render animation and automatically defaults back to 5.24256

I've tried this with autofocus on and off.

You used to be able whilst rendering animation. To use AF icon if ever went out of focus and I did use this in quite a few cases in the past. But for some reason it is now disabled. It will not alter focus whilst doing animation which I really do believe is a very vast disadvantage. I wonder if you could re-enable this in the next version?

i have PM you link for the files to look at

Yes - this is the correct behavior when you have the "Eye" button pressed. It causes the Octane focus distance to be set to the Poser focus distance. Focus picking will be ignored when rendering the animation when this button is enabled.

Right I didn't understand that. Looks like that may have solved the issue. Sorry for wasting your time Paul. I didn't realised that's what the problem was, but thank you for pointing out

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:

2.11.1.30
- Compiled against Octane 2.11.1
- Added Highlight Compression to the Imager settings (see Standalone release notes for details)
- Changes to render passes as per Octane Standalone
- Added additional Color Correction node pins (see Standalone release notes for details)
- Added new Noise texture node (see Standalone release notes for details)
- Added additional kernel pin Static Noise (see Standalone release notes for details)
- Fixed issue where changing a light setting in HDR Light Studio would cause the light to jump to the top of the scene

The new noise texture looks ideal for use as a bump map for skin textures!

Thanks, but the network rendering still have the same problem. I can't turn it off in the plugin. Every time I restart Poser it is automatically on and therefor block network rendering to Standalone.
Shouldn't this version have their own network settings?

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:

2.11.1.31
- Stopped the "Texture" node being transferred when changing the Environment node from Texture Environment to Daylight (and vise-versa)
- Fixed issue where Network Render settings were not being saved

The viewport no longer dynamically updates with new light position when using HDR Light Studio, a refresh of the viewport is required with every light position change.
Was this expected?
