HF CountryLane test, I am currently running a camera blur anim sequence and its looking great so far
Maxed out 2x1 660ti cards..(2GB each)..
200 MaxSamples..
The trick to loading this scene is by unflattening the fir trees. The 'leaves' of a fir tree consists of hundreds of needles that have to be scattered over the tree. Flattening a fir tree (as is) makes the mesh too big to fit into GPU memory. Simply select each fir tree (there are only 3 in this scene), go to the Effects tab and uncheck the Flatten option. Needless to say that you cannot scatter the fir tree but, fortunately, this scene does not try to.
Thanks for the tips Sighman

The AVI was rendered using Carrara Native. The AVI was used as a texture for the planes which was then rendered as an animation in the plugin. The image sequence was then converted to an .mp4 using Photoshop.
Fantastic news Sighman, thank you and well done

@orion_uk. wow that turned out great. Not sure what you have in mind but I would continue the journey of the "pilot" over to a small pool or puddle of water to reveal a bumble bee's reflection.
That's a very good flight path, are you using flocking to create these or are they by hand.

Thanks Tug
I like the bee idea and am looking at incorperating that (but I have already seen that kind of thing done on youtube though) I may mix it up a bit, who knows..
You set my mind running with that one
Regarding the flight path, purely by hand I am afraid
Sighman (well, anyone who wants to confirm/disprove!)..
Have you noticed an issue with needing to press manual reload if you want LRVP to update after changing/toggling VISIBLE in General tab?

I have made some changes in that area. I did not confirm that toggling 'visibility' is still working. I'll make sure it's fixed in the next update.

It's been so quite here lately, I thought I'd "revive" this thread and post an image in case there are some others here (like me) that don't feel quite up to posting in the official Octane Gallery.
This is one a did last month. everything except for the sig, and a minor adjustment to levels, was done in Octane (including the spell ball). Please click on the image to get the full resolution piture. The textures on the Battle Kimono are quite impressive.

Now...what should I do with this...

some of my renders, I substitued Howie Farkes Carrara trees with transmapped mesh ones by Merlin, Faveral and others as the Carrara ones used too much RAM on my system
