Thanks for your more measured reply. Regular communication with and support for customers is not a luxury but an integral part of our purchase. There are a number of rumours floating around about the plugin situation due to the lack of information and contradictory news updates that we have so far received.

The most pervasive of these (it appears) is that the DS plugin has been put on the back burner while t_3 works on three other plugins. As inquisitive people willing to invest in new developments we can sometimes put two and two together and make three - perhaps this is the case here - but we can also work out when something is not quite right. How true these rumours are I cannot say but other customers have tried to make this link. If this is the case and the extra commissions are delaying our plugin then I see no point in supporting this plugin any longer because the bugs in v1.2 seriously hamper rendering.

The current version of the plugin is virtually unusable for animation because it fails to update materials and clothing while rendering frames. With every animation I have to check every frame to make sure nothing is missing. As you can imagine, this takes hours so on that basis the plugin is not fit for purpose. I have searched for solutions on the forum, posted support requests but none of the suggestions so far offer a solution so without a bug fix the problem persists.

Moving figures around the scene invariably causes the clothing not to update in the viewport. Ultimately this requires a DS restart wasting more time - another ongoing problem without a solution it seems. I've listed just two bugs with the plugin. Others have had their own problems.

We do not yet have information about the proposed exporter to the standalone but I hope it offers the same versatility as the plugin but without any bugs. I don't understand how it's possible to develop an exporter but not update the plugin to v2.

You mentioned an exporter being mad available.
While this also support importing materials from Standalone?

I hope it imports as well, I'd like to use your red spec materials.

Which is exactly why I'm asking ;)

We'll have something nice for the DAZ crowd probably by the end of this month - even without such an importer ;)

Stay tuned :)
