Another year, another teaser video (here http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=45435), and yet again no words on when it will available, not even the beta.
Can we have some more info about it? Can we at least expect to see it this year? Or is it still too early and it will stay hidden in your desktops for other two/three years?

Nice little teaser here - http://home.otoy.com/render/brigade/ . Could it be awaiting the Titan Y so it truly shines?

Brigade is not Octane. It's just a library right now and not an app we can push to artists. That will change when we add ORBX scene loading which is underway and possible with both Octane 3 and B3 moving to OpenSL.

To get the quality we showed at GTC you will need roughly 80 amazon GPUs, so it is not cheap or for everyone, and is cloud only.

Yeah, that changes everything... I mean, 80 GPUs?! Really? What is this thing targeted for? I though it was a GAME engine... :|

We can use filtering to get it to work on 2-4 GPUs. This specific video was made as a test to see how far we are from noise free rendering without any filtering. Brigade is cloud only for the foreseeable future. The number of GPUs is not a limiting factor for clients willing to pay a few $ per session.
