It'e either the firewall or Windows is preventing Sketchup to write files to /User/Documents/Octane/ folder. All temp and livedb textures are stored there. Please check if those folders are empty and report back to me, I'll try to figure out what's wrong.
Fixed it!

The problem seems to be that if cannot change the default target location of the /User/Documents folder, I had changed my target to d:\documents. It seems that the plugin does not recognise this.

Hope that made some sense.

cheers,

H

Hello Fuzzybro.

One more question.

How long will last the beta stage? I need to know if i can wait for more features to be added before buying and still get the discounted price of 99 euro.

Thank you.

pimpuppy.

I think it will last for a couple of months till I fix all the bugs.
What features are you expecting to be implemented?

Just wondering, any plan to put IES lighting as a feature in the future?

Hi rfox,

IES Lights are supported as material textures.
Pick Diffuse Material -> Emission -> Emission Texture -> Image and select file with IES light.

Hope that helps,
Bro

Hi fuzzybro,

I figured out the "missing geometry" issue.

I turned off layer 0 in the sample skp I sent you earlier.

SU treats geometries assigned with layer 0 to follow the visibility of their parent (group or component alike) in SU viewport.

Just layer 0 have this behaviour.

All SU users accustomed to this. I would expect Octane Plugin do the same.
