Oki, I found was only possible to export Alembic file in /tmp\... with export_alembic name only, and also write file from rendering (seems to be png, but no need thems).
There is a way to put an output path for alembic file and possibility to choose the name ?
Sorry for the late reply, have on own issue with the exporter (trying to export with the pano camera)
I'm not so sure about the output path needs to be /tmp\, for me I use a scratch disk to export to "G:/swap/" but I do not define a file name and that works.
For updatig to the latest version, I do not uninstall but go into the blenderoctane folder and trash everything then run the installer and never had and issue.

Hi Jimstar, thanks for your reply. I will see what I can get from the script coder. This said, I don't understand why the install path of the user is changed to an other one. Even when specifying "user path". It is this peculiar point that leaded me to think that Blender for Octane was involved in the trouble.

Another thing I noticed: It doesn't finish the render. I gave my scene 5000 samples, but it stoppped rendering at 4902 (or: it stops updating the status bar for the last sample, who knows). Graphics card powers down at the moment of that screenshot.

Sigh .. yet another problem

I was in the middle of rendering an animation, when somehow octane server refused access (also had a bad login/pw entry in the render tab .. accidentally had the logon for the webpage there). No issue, tzried to put in the right none again ... to no availa ... it refuses access with a bad PW combo. Ok, I tried reinstalling the octane server .. didn't help, either :/ Retried right combo in blender and just rendered .. and it worked. But where did it suddenly pick up the wrong login in between? does that get saved in the blend file?
EDIT: it just crashed again right in the middle of animation rendering..
Might be related to soemthing corrupt in blender though, as also the animation didn't at first play anymore in solid mode/3D view ... I tried setting the keyframes again and then it seemed to work.

Thanks for the tip Szymon (kubicki3d), that was the reason why the hdri did not turn.

What driver version do you use?
We've just tried to reproduce it - and were able to reproduce only partially. As yes - the GPU frequency remains high (on my computer in my current driver version 331.65) after stopping the render, but GPU load goes again low, and the computer does not remain slow if I use main GPU for rendering...
Can you perhaps post some screenshots of GPU load graphics before and after stopping the render?..

If you (or somebody else perhaps) will have some reproduceable crash on some animation scene - please give me that scene (if it is possible) to I can catch and kill this beast.

I assume this is purely about the reported ongoing octane server, not the interruption before end I also reported

Have to check at home. But I always run the latest and shiniest, so at the moment, it should be 334.89.

Will have to check. Over the weekend, I had not noticed it on my home righ (A normal PC with a 780Ti). I have so far only seen this on my (Gaming-) Laptop with its 770M GPU. Both machines use the latest drivers directly from Nvidia.

The rendering does not finish. If I have 1000 samples it stops about 980 samples.
If 2000 samples stops at 1882 samples.
If 100 Samples stops at 94 Samples
Pressing ESC when rendering the graphic card still renders.
This happens when using Path tracing or PMC (With Direct light it works)
Windows 7 ultimate
Asus GTX Titan
