Hey there Obizzz, I know what you mean about the CA. Same here. However, I couldn't resist leaving a little tell-tale sign on the edges of some of the tulips on the high res. Of course mine is not a photoshop CA. It's in the 3D atmosphere. It's interesting since real CA is obviously a lens aberration, not the air.

Regarding the PT vs PMC, I'm assuming it's because the PMC is dealing with more caustics through the glass and petals. However, I'm the wrong guy to ask about that. I'm still an Octane noob. =)

Even octane 'render accidents' are sick! Instead of red, green or white splotches, we get...chromatic abberation. LOL!

The set up for the SSS is quite simple in octane. Just grab one from LiveDB so you can see how it's set up. Scale is the key. If I find a good tutorial, I'll link it here.

Actually, unless it's deadline time, I leave work at 6pm everyday. We try to adopt the 'work smart, not hard' workflow. And 6gig cards. ;^)

I set everything up before I leave for the day, and let the machines work the night shift. That's what the office is for.
