As far as I can tell (and I'm likely wrong), but when I convert to Octane Proxy, there is still geometry in the scene. I can still see my poly count go up when I instance them.
What is the advantage?

Movable Proxy doesn't make any sense for 3dsmax viewport, but does for Octane.
