Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® v1.20 beta [CURRENT]

Ok I may have found a bug OR I haven't changed the options for Octane render needed for animation of rigged characters in Maya 2014. I've tested 2 rigged models, one I've created myself following a Tut from Autodesk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=az9Iycp3 ... B&index=20 and a fully rigged Despicable Me character http://www.cgmeetup.net/home/minion-rig ... maya-rigs/
With the Minion Octane render it states that there is no mesh/geometry and with my model partly rigged it just states "//Error: Octane: Error mesh export. Octane render stopped".
Is there something I missed in the render settings for advanced rigged characters? it seems at this point Octane can not see/render them. Meshes textured or not render fine. I think it might have something to do with applying a new skin on the bones or "grouped" meshes. Perhaps there is an option to turn off or on "render groups"?
Update -partial solution: I found out why my rigged model wasn't permitted to render because I had to configure the render settings to "change names to unique" under the "Additional Settings" tab. I don't know if it's possible for the developers to add in the error message: select "change names to unique" under Octane Render Settings, "Additional" tab.. (this would be good to add if Octane was able to detect identical naming that is causing this problem -one change that could eliminate headaches, well at least for the inexperienced user like myself that may not have a clue why the render can't proceed.
Anyone else having issues?
