and of course not all folders are containing a "ß"
It happens also with other textures/folders when I apply more than one bitmap.
I like Octane very much, but this is atm the biggest limitation to me, when I have
to write the whole path manually for every bitmap I use.

Actually code must be accept any characters. May be we have another problem. Can you give a try for file names with standart characters and different folders? This can help me to found problem.
Also what is your os, windos 8?

o.k.
the problem is either "underscore" or "upper-case Letters"
I renamed my folders to data/textures/asphalt/ or data/textures/roof
and now I'm asked if I want to place a copy in the project path and
when I say "no" I'll get the full path listed. puhhhh!

Just bought the license of the plugin few days ago because it seemed great and to finally do some work in Octane (not a big fan of the export to render things). But this beta release is just awesome! Playing around with the Shader to Texture function and it works very well, same for liveDB.

Great job on the beta update! You are truly a building a revolution in workflow.
I was wondering, since you can load the LiveDB, can you also load .ocm files that are locally saved? How would you do that?

Thanks Druzic,
Temporarily disabled some export/import functions. Will be enabled with new sdk release. I'm on the way which open the doors

o.k. its sure the "underscore" in foldernames that causes
the path problems.
I can solve this by renaming all my folder, but will this be corrected
in next version?
Also I still have problems with texture environment and image sampler.
Still all models getting overbright after activating "image sampler"
Changing gamma of hdri does not solve it.
Only after more adjustments or replacing the hdri and back again it
suddenly works sometimes. This is doubtless not normal!

here it is:
as said, sometimes suddenly it works.
But when I start to add an texture environment, it always looks
like this:
When I change gamma to correct the look of the models, the
background hdri gets black and vice versa.
