Hi,

thanks for the nice welcome :)

Hi Cornel! Nice to see here........ sure, how can I forget about you ;)

Any tips which version I should go for?
I´ve read that the 2.35 has problems with relinking of materials in animations.
So better try the 2.41?
Can I install different versions here on pc......
....say one 1.22 for working and one 2.41 for testing?

I recommend 2.41 or better 2.42 which will arrive in a couple of hours :)

Yes you can. Because of the time-out problem in Windows, you should install 1.022b using the installer anyway. Then unpack 2.41/2.42 in any other directory you want and launch whatever you want. Keep in mind though: 1.022 doesn't have mesh emitters and I'm not sure, but I think beta 2.3 and beta 2.4 files can't be loaded by 1.022.

Happy rendering,
Marcus

Hi there!

I have followed, last weeks, your product and stayed fascinated with the real time speed.
Now, I wiil buy a new GTX 560 TI, to use CUDA performance in this Software.
Like user lovanova, I want to test Octane Render before buy, to use with C4D and Rhino.

My desire is to have a good result with your demo.

Stay tuned, because I will ask you the best way to see the real power of of your splendid O.R.

Thanks.

Best regards,

P

OctaneRender doesn't care, but you don't get any current NVIDIA cards for Macs. -> Get a PC.

hi gogomac, if you are using the demo you can try to have an obj that went through an intermediary export, you can use a plguin called riptide for that. Also, the export script mentioned in the forums is for the commercial beta version of Octane and the export script is yet to be updated for R13...
