That is just a texture. You can place it where ever your want. It doesn't depend on shadows.
can we change radius, colr, transparency, mask it with a fractal noise?
apply it on a statue or an ancient column, I would like to see the results.

Thank you very much!!

This is an extremely useful tool for architectural visualization. Willing to see more info about this, as if we'll be able to mix two different maps with dirt, I mean the clean and the dirt version of a wall texture for example.

Not sure how it supposes to work with bump.
