Hi wisemanxxx,
which was the camera response and the gamma (imager octane setting) used in your render?, I found many difficulties to set a good white color (like in your render) without having the image too much "washed out".

Thanks, Paolo

As an old habit from Vray times I save my images with linear color mapping with 1 gamma HDR image format.I use Photoshop plugin Alien Exposure 4 or Motiva Real Camera software for post processing.
In these renders I did not remember which response I used in yatakodasi1.jpg.But I usually use one of agfacolor responses.Other image was post processed via workflow which I explained above.

could you send a render with linear response and gamma 2.2 JPG file or linear + gamma 1 HDR. I can show some tricks about my workflow.

EDIT : I've posted some new 'BEFORE' and 'AFTER' images here : http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=25579

Hi wisemanxxx thanks for the information and for the disposal in showing some Post production trick. There is only a problem....I don't know If I'm in linear or not  (I think not because I didn't enable the Max Gamma&Lut) and if this wouldn't be enough, I don't know what you mean with "linear+gamma1 HDR).....I usually save my images directly in .JPG.
Forgeve my ignorance

Cheers, Paolo

I mean that I don't use any camera color mapping option (like agfa, kodak etc.) I choose 'linear' at the bottom in camera settings. and after this if you want to work with HDR format leave camera gamma value 1. But if you want to save image JPEG or any 8 bit format then set gamma to 2.2.
I don't use max's own gamma settings. I disable it.
