We have done some work on improving the color accuracy of Octane. In the next release colors will look much better, especially reds and deep blues.

3000 is not enough. And use pmc instead of path tracing.

Hi Roeland and Karba
using tone mapping but saving without apply it the image is completely washed.
Is not possible to save 32 bit exr tone mapped images?
With Vray I alway save in exr or HDR format then in After effects I have full control of exposure.
Using Photoshop CS 5-6 you have full control of hdr highlights and many other parameters to balance black levels, gamma etc.
I think that Octane lacks a basic output control because all tone-film luts aren't ok for professional grading but saving a 32 bit exr file we will not able to reproduce the same Octane luts. Then it would be nice to save 32 bit toned images and then slight tweak the exposure in Photoshop or AE.

Hello merid888
try also to use light portals and see if it improves your render. You could possibly achieve a speed up, plus as karba mentioned use pmc in combination. And see what results you can get.

***BUG***
when in pause the material editor is in pause too and picking material from mesh with the picker Octane puts random sphere previews in the slots.
