It is set to "2.62128".
I that case 1meter in Poser should equal 1 meter in Octane. So in theory the LiveDb texturemap scales should match correctly. You could try setting this value to 1 to see if it resolves your issue, however Octane expects units in meters, which is what the 2.62128 scale conversion factor is doing.
what do I need to do about Poser scale when loading scenes into Octane for IES lights to work properly?
What is the specific problem with IES lights you are having? Can you post a screenshot of the problem?
and HDRI maps always look too large in comparison to Poser scale
HDRI maps do not scale - they also surround the entire scene.

Hmm, maybe that's the problem. Poser units are set to "feet" by default, not meters. I got used to values in feet, so I didn't change it. What would the conversion scale factor be when Poser is set to feet instead of meters (which is the default factory setting)?
* IES light: the scene scale is not matching the expected one in Octane, so IES lighting gets me unexpected results. This becomes more obvious when LiveDB materials always look *gigantic* when applied to Poser models.
* HDRI maps: the same happens to HDRI images when used as backdrops in Poser scenes rendered in Octane - the maps look *gigantic* comparing to character size. That forces me to scale the maps down to almost 100 times smaller every time. There must be something with the Poser-to-Octane scale.

Ken, can you post some images so we can see the issues you have?
Thanks
Paul

Before I post images, what should the scale factor be when Poser is set to "feet" instead of "meters"? I am pretty sure this would help. ^^

It shouldn't matter - the plugin will extract geometry from Poser in Poser Native Units.

Nevermind, I am probably doing something wrong. There is also the chance not all LiveDB materials are in the same scale.

Right on spot, Paul. Thanks! Any plans for adding that "scale all textures together" feature? That would make life easier in many cases.

I hope to have it in the next release.

That's awesome! Any chance of expanding the option to other fields, like setting all Specular or Roughness values at once? Would also appreciate an option to "preserve textures when multiplying", and "always multiply by RGB Color".
