When I saw the VRAM use that was the first thing that I thought of!

You need to either set auto materiel update in the preferences or select each one and tell octane to create the material.richertmx wrote:Since I´ve updated to the new version of the octane plugin none of my materials get converted, viewport only shows white surfaces. Anyone else experienced this problem? Cheers
Yes, I thought that might be a problem, so I re-downloaded and re-installed. It hasn't fixed anything though!DrHemulen wrote:Works for me, are you sure you're using the latest version of the plugin?
LD = Live database. So, the materials downloaded via Octane's Live Database! I believe they are created by various people and then uploaded for other Octane users. Not entirely certain what you mean by 'custom' shaders?SimonJM wrote:I'm not familiar with those materials (LD materials? Not sure I know the term). They don't use 'custom' shaders do they?
can you please try to: just open ds with an empty scene, and drop these materials from the live db thumbs onto the empty daz surfaces tree, or just click a thumbnail and press ctrl-shift-m (or use the context menu) to create a new unlinked material; if they still refuse to load, pls look into the system tab if there is any warning/error message in the log...MyLittlePhoenix wrote:I have not yet tried all materials, but here's a few of those stubborn materials refusing to load"

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug...?
I managed to get the 'lace' material to download this way, but not the leather (error 475) or the copper (error 350). It says 'Could not download "material" (error code) WARNING'. Is this perhaps due to my internet connection/speed? It has no trouble downloading in the standalone version though!t_3 wrote:can you please try to: just open ds with an empty scene, and drop these materials from the live db thumbs onto the empty daz surfaces tree, or just click a thumbnail and press ctrl-shift-m (or use the context menu) to create a new unlinked material; if they still refuse to load, pls look into the system tab if there is any warning/error message in the log...MyLittlePhoenix wrote:I have not yet tried all materials, but here's a few of those stubborn materials refusing to load"
