Is there a way to remove these unused textures from my scene? The objects don't exist anymore, yet the plugin seemingly retains them. The [x] does nothing. Thanks.
I couldn't get a scene to exhibit this behavior - so I'm not sure how to resolve it. But try restarting DAZStudio and reload the scene. Say "No" to saving unused materials.
Running R3.5.3.30 and still having some issues with object scaling and transforming not updating on the fly. Having to force reload ( doesn't always work ) or change the Kernal Type to see modifications / update render.
Screenshot attached.
I will try to fix this in the next release.

I tried your suggestions but the textures remain in the scene(s). Nothing I do seems to remove them.

PS: I found all the offending images in the DS cache folder. Removing them and checking the option to ignore loading unused materials fixed it.

Good find. Thanks for letting me know.

I just noticed the option "Don't load unused Materials" defaults to OFF when restarting DS. Is this by design?

I think it is intentional (it was implemented by the previous plugin dev).

I imagined in OcDS there would be a second pull down menu below the default environment settings for the secondary "Visible environment".
The current architecture of the DAZStudio plugin does not make this easy to do. And even if it were possible - there would be a lot of added complications to how New/Copy/Rename/Import/Export work (would they do just the Environment, or either the Environment or Visible Environment, or both?). The DAZStudio plugin might handle have both an Environment and Visible Environment panel in the Environment tab, but would potentially not handle having the Visible Environment disconnected (ie. no visible environment). So in summary, it's probably possible to implement, but a lot of work. I will investigate further in the next week or two.
It seems in 3.4.0.26 the pins for Backplate, Reflections or Refractions are there both in the Daylight environment and Texture environment.
Yes, in both Standalone and the DAZStudio plugin these pins do nothing on the Environment node attached to the Rendertarget Environment pin. They only work on the Visible Environment.

Paul,
In Daz I have the 'Environment' pane as a sub-pane to my 'Render' pane. If I set a background image in 'Environment', it will show in the (1) Aux viewport, and carry over to (2) 3Delight render, and (3) IRAY Render.
It does not carry over to (4) OcDS render.

Would it be possible to have the Backplate button activate a mere "carry-over" of this image (not connected to any render settings...other than resolution?) to the OcDS plugin, and then if you select an Alpha Channel for the render it will reveal the image as the background? This would be great because then you could set the background through Daz, and have it carry over to OcDS while still using the Daylight Map or Texture environment to light the scene elements, and the mere background image would have been introduced/activated by a combo of the Alpha Channel and the Backplate button.
Thx!

There are two elements to this .... 1) The background Image which is a bitmap placed in alpha areas of the viewport, but not saved when you save to Png/Exr, or 2) The HDR map applied to the Visible Environment, which is saved to the Png/Exr. Which are you referring to pls?

Hi Paul, it would be #1, Bitmap on the alpha areas of viewport. In Daz it's called a 'Backdrop'.
Thx!

Got you. The backdrop would not save in the PNG/EXR - would that be confusing to users?
