your new version works fine here by me - very solid!!!!
I have just discovered a new problem - it's about the plugin "Laubwerk" - plants plugin - very good by the way.
I also talked to the developer about the problem and he says it unfortunately is a octane problem. it works with selective tags for materials.

plus a quick C4D builtin document from the developer to show the problem.
neither the plants object nor the sweepnurb can be render with octane render as it did not appear the selective concealed material interpreted.
maybe it is in your next version - think there will be other applications that need it.

hi - sorry it is me again
i often needs alpha channels - and i could not find a solution in your manual
so i must ask you here
please see the attached screenshot and help me please -
why do i see in the c4d workfield the alpha inverted and in
octane the right alpha picture - where is my fault.
the leave has a integrated alpha in the tif pic
maybe you can help

I tested the 0.5.7 release, with a mid-complex scene, and I noticed that is very very slow compared to the 0.5 release (0.2 Ms/s vs 1.5 Ms/s). GTX 590 - driver 320.18 whql. If I switch back to the 0.5 release I get a quick result without crashes. Do you think I will reach more speed if I downgrade the nvidia driver too?

invert does only the octane render invert

did you check gpu memory usage? I have detected on some situations when memory is filled

can you test with smaller or less textures? I have noticed with lot of big textures this slowdown. I'm not sure it's for only last sdk or general problem

i'm not sure to understand what you asking. If you talk about viewport preview problem of alpha, that's not supported actually.
Also i'm trying to install this plugin, but not works in c4d. I have downloaded free package and run and install but not starting.
