To clarify it more - at the moment there is no way to set two or more Scatter objects to distribute their clones using one defined pattern by noise or vertex map. I see that people doing that by old 10 years method by painting by hand different inverted image masks - this is very bad.
Modern scatter system should be driven by one vertex or noise map where first scatter use orginal input, second scatter inverted oryginaĆ one with some corrections and third scatter something else but still based on orginal noise/vertex map for example.
This all can be done if we could use RefShader and Vertex map nodes inside Scatter node system.
At the moment only solution that I found is to use Plain effectors with scale -1 and vertex map, invert etc inside their Field. But there is need to use as many different Plain Effector as Scatter objects and this is somewhat hard to edit later. Also Octane Live Viewer has problem to update changes of Vertex map which is spread among many effectors.

C4D_Light_Linking not support some generator,like atom array,polygon reduction,extrude,Cloth Surface,and so on
octane v2022.1-[R4]

We can check it if you share some examples

New link parameter in Octane transform node. You can read transform matrix of any object with this option.
Hey guys,
Can somebody please explain me how this works? What type of other object am I supposed to click on using the eyedropper? (Nothing appears in the drop down)
Thank you.

You can use the attributes of any object in world space to drive the Texture Transformation values, either by picking the source object with the eyedropper or by dragging and dropping an object from the Outliner into the "Link" field. The XYZ to UVW option in the Projection node works similarly, and you might find it a bit more intuitive to begin with. I suggest playing around with that, first. Once you get the hang of the relationships between manipulating objects in world space and their effects on texture Projection space, I think you'll find the 3D Transform option easier to wrap your head around.

Thank you frankmci, this helped a lot!

When objects are disabled inside Scatter - nothing happens :
But doing the same with instances inside Scatter works as expected :
Disabling object inside C4D Cloner works fine too.
Disabling Cloner makes that all objects inside Cloner are visible in renderer on their original positions. Doing the same with Scatter ( disabling Scatter ) pernamently disable objects inside it from renderer - they are not visible on their original positions.
Render visibility for objects doesn't work. It works for instances inside Scatter only :

Is the denoiser broken when working with a visible environment?
Main Pass:

- Main pass
Denoised Pass:

- Denoised pass
I had a volume, I tried with "denoise volume", didn't work so I turned off the volume.
Pattracing, last version. 2022.1-R4
Thanks!
