Got me wrong...the process is:

Standalone supports new hardware, like GTX 1080...
it goes to the SDK
and with that to the plugin

So we have to wait for that...1080's lying arround here as well ;)

Did not add support for XGen yet. So if it did not work before, there will be no change.

Alright. I'll be waiting until that is done.
Can I just add my vote: XGen support would be a really big deal. Could make the difference between moderate to large scenes being completely unmanageable in Octane or actually being workable.

Currently the top priority is getting to production stable, and implementing essential workflow items. We've committed to supporting PhoenixFD, FumeFX and Ornatrix as best we can (including using SDKs where possible), and this will take some time to do also. We're definitely open to adding more features once the essentials are done, but this may take some time. Always feel free to make suggestions, these are very helpful for us. If you could use the subforum, that would be great - there you can detail exactly the feature(s) that you are looking for viewforum.php?f=111

Thanks :)

edit: xgen feature request is here: viewtopic.php?f=111&t=52978 please add more detail if any

Please don't forget to publish V2 realeases. It will take months to have a quite stable production ready V3 Maya plugin, so please, please fix the bugs on V2 first and answer the posts relatet to this.

It is importent to work on the V3 plugin but nobody can use it yet for serious productions.
So we need to recieve bug fixes for V2.

Is making v3 not causing Maya to crash instantly on the roadmap?

Got a new version for next week, with automation buttons for basic nodegraph creation and one for connecting fluids.
Cameras connect automatically now as well, at least for the cases I know about, but more can be added.
A fix for the IPR crash, leaving only a bug that is with Maya (switching from octane to maya software while the node editor is open, same with mental ray) and Autodesk has received a ticket for it.
Integration with Maya 2016.5 and 2017.
Some cosmetics for node attribute names and color slider UI.
