http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... hdri+gamma

disabling output tonemaping should be available as a option like it's mentioned here, so we can se it in the preview window?

- also more tips on linear workflow? - should the input gamma of the HDRI be changed or should it stay at deafult 1.0?

I've noticed a cloud generator on max but can't find a way to make it work. Any ideas on what I must be doing wrong?

Thanks

Karba Hi,

I was wondering if it would be possible to lead us a way to convert Octane materials to VrayMTL.
I will need this for a project that I'm bidding. I'll have to go back and forth with vray and octane.

I'm not asking it as a feature request but asking this for an advice to lead us a way. Even it can be a basic work around. A script or any workflow.

Can I have any views from you.
Thanks.

yeah, at least a "octane to standard" as the standard to octane, specialy for maps assignement. That's not for a ready to use feature, but that's will be a great time saver tool for switching from an engine to another (i do that with FR materials too...). All can be done with scripting, but it's quite hard for someone who doesn't know anything to scripting... ie graphists :)
Hu, a feature may be usefull, if there is a quicker way to switch a "image texture" to a "float image texture" or "alpha image texture..." May be just one unique "image texture" with some switchs inside for choosing the right type ?? should be usefull to copy/paste textures faster !

Karba, what is the best way to use motionblur in 3DS Max with the Octane Plugin?

I just remembered to fix one annoyin thing - when you reload the scene = the texture doesn't get reloaded - I have to close the octane preview windows and open again - that is, when I work on a texture in photoshop and I'm checking on progress in 3d max - this is what I have to do every time - can you at least add another button that does a "hardware" reload, so it closes and opens the window on its own

- sometimes when something bugs out on the system, you notice it only after you close and open, probably something stuck in the memory... anyway take into consideration please
