About CarbonScatter again.

I reproduced the hierarchical structure of the object CarbonScatter once edited. I get the same result: the correctly colored objects and instances without color (see broken.jpg). By moving the tag material of the first neutral object to the objects themselves, instances take colors (see working.jpg).
So I think the problem is not specific to CarbonScatter but the hierarchy of objects in relation to the Octane plugin.
I also found that if you disable the setting "make instance" of object instances, it works without moving the tags of materials. Both solutions (moving tags or desactivating "render instance") work as well but, of course, desactivating "render instance" is far heavier to render.

thanks this is really helpfull,
now clear the problem. I'm going to check for a solution now.
is the CS working on R15?

CS2 works excellently with R15.

However, the polygons are only one makeshift, because then one can change with CS 2 nothing more.

But it was a matter probably only of showing the problem.

Yes, I have Carbon Scatter working on R15, and I confirm what atome451 said. Exactly the same with me.

Well,
just a explanation why this problem was occured on last versions.

For speedups, i did some revision on instance generation. Pluging looks to instance source object and childs for materials. But texture tag is not on source object. If you change the tag placement you'll see correct materials as in picture.
And, this is not a solution i know. I have to limit some extra processes to get faster feedback due of realtime checking algoritms.
But, i'm looking for a fast solution for that

hi,
is there a way to convert CarbonScatter objects to visible instances in object manager?

Edit: I published a new test version. Has some new functionality about Drag and drop operations from livedb and material manager to objects in live viewer. It's limited with some basic and movable geometry currently.

CS problem is still here, can't found yet a solution.

Enjoy it

yes...go to your Layer-Manager (i don't know what u call it) and turn on visibility.
Than klick on the padlock.
Thats it is.

Well done, the converted CS2 clones are all colored now with the new version :D

Is it possible to get the "CS2-billboard-trees" to work inside C4D-Octane, also?
For now it isn“t the case.

...and are there plans for a "Vue xStream/C4D Host + Octane" pipeline in future time?

However, can be also changed no more by CS2.:(
But everything went and everything will also go again.

@aoktar

Can nobody make available to you then a version of Carbon Scatter? Nevertheless, you depend on it to be able to let run on it the octane Render. Maybe the octanes Render doer or E-On?

Hey Rudi,
as i said, it's not working on last versions. But i'm looking a solution or workaround.
