Hey Merry Xmas!
I wanted to report that this version has significant lag when navigating in "viewport rendering" than 2021 latest stable.
Cheers!

Have you tried to lower the LV refresh time ?

It's not slower on navigation than 2021 here. If you have it, you should have something wrong there. Better to try reset Octane settings first.

Hi Ahmet,
Any ideas on this issue? Please let me know if you need more details to help solve this, as it is unusable in this state.
Thanks!
twik25 wrote:Hi Ahmet,
I have been having viewport issues in 2023, and I finally isolated the problem. If you have octane material selected (or still have it selected in the material or node editor), cinema 4d does not update in the viewport editor until you have a "move" in the camera. Please see attached.
Thanks,
Tim

I don't know that maybe a driver conflict. I cannot reproduce it. Have you tried with different layouts, reset octane settings and different graphic drivers?

I have tried multiple layouts with no success. As soon as an octane material is highlighted or selected, all updates in the viewport stop happening. Is there a quick way to reset all octane settings? I am able to confirm that this is only happening on C4D 2023. Issue isn't present on R21 or R26. My driver is version is 472.47 with 2 A5000s, and 2 1080TIs. Is there a driver version you would recommend?

Deleting "oct.dat" from prefs folder that's enough. I'm with 517.14 Studio driver. But I can't think why it happens.

Deleting oct.dat did the trick! Thank you Ahmet.

Mmm I will reset everything yes.
When I upgrade c4d or octane version, I keep using a "new" scene with octane settings that I have from before. Should I rebuild this scene every version?
