Awesome.. also a couple other parameters missing:
-Ray Epsilon (no idea what this does though)
-Wireframe Backface Highlighting

Wireframe Backface Highlighting is the parameter "Highlight backfaces", but I should add the ray epsilon parameter.

Oh crap. It happened again... I opened an older LW project, converted everything to Octane.. got a fair amount into it.. was having difficulty getting things the way I like them... had some real nastiness in the shadow areas..............
And then realized about an hour into this fiasco that I had (once again) not switch to Full Linear CS workflow at beginning....
Juanjo pal, is there any way you could implement an automatic switch to Full Linear, whenever we "Switch to Octane"?... I think this has been asked before, but I can't remember if this was possible for you....

Ah, so I'm not the only one suffering from CS nastiness. Apart from old scenes, I still use the native LW engine from time to time and forgetting to re-set everything to linear can lead to some truly painful hours of wasted work. Seriously, just a pop-up window or something that says "Remember to switch colorspaces, you dolt!" upon Octane activation would be enough for me!
ADP.

If you guys are working with linear workflow in octane, how do you degamma textures?
In kray its recommended to put lw in linear then use kray's own linear plugin to degamma textures, etc. Is there something similar in octane?

You have a gamma setting in the texture image node.

Let me think about it, I am not sure if it is possible with the current LW SDK.

Hmmm. Well, a windows alert would be perfect, as alexos mentioned. You seem to be able to use alerts, since we do get them for things like "ERROR: Octane plugin is already enabled"... You don't even need to test for current color space settings programmatically. Just make alert pop up every time we switch to Octane. Please make something happen with this J. Losing an hour or more to CS woes is effing brutal. Like watching a horrible flick and wanting that chunk of your life back.
