Things like White and Black point and Exposure don't do anything – I'm sure they worked on the same sort of HDRIs previously. It's really useful feature – is there any reason why this functionality isn't there any more or has stopped working?
I have tried with a selection of HDRIs...
I didn't understood what are you doing. A scene or image will helpful. This is test version and i'm re-organising some parts. So this is normal but feedbacks help to detect problems.
Simply: I have scene with an Octane Sky object. I am adding an HDRI to it. When you click on the Texture button (the long one that says/Volumes/Hard Drive/HDR... ), I am normally able to change the Exposure, Black Point and White Point, which you can use to tweak the HDR (some are shot at different levels/exposures). The preview window changes but it doesn't affect the result in the Live Viewer. I appreciate this is a work-in-progress, but thought I'd mention it.
Pic enclosed…

So you're on wrong way. These parameter are ridiculous for Octane. We didn't ever supported that. Imagetexture is the way to go and its parameters.

Thanks. Please let me know any issues.

Scater is amazing, its really fast
but current version makes random crashes with my C4D R16.
I can't provide bug report because crash hangs my cinema.
I'm sure you fix it soon, It's worth waiting.
Thanks for great update and waiting for stable release .
Thanks! But It's impossible to find the crashes with this information. But i'm checking and fixing reported crashes by users and also with my luck. Next one will be more stable, at least i found a few bugs on node editor, mesh creations and motion blur.

here is my attempt to make dust and dirt using the new scatter. 24 Million instances on the table and some books and it's still very fast preparing the scene and rendering.
The rain drips are done with scatter, too. I had some crashes during work and one or two times some of the 4 scatter objects stopped generating objects. Could not figure out when that happens.
Render time: 13 minutes, 192x1200 pixel, PMC , 1500 samples.

Great to see you push the limits. Scatter and particle engine is uncompleted part and crashes are very normal in test stage. I'm gonna fix and improve these on next weeks. I'm working on some general revisions, optimisations and improvements. It's a good time to do while waiting the 3.0.

Hi Ahmet,
I really like..

'Also added an "Hair" section to Octane Object Tag. It will allow to render splines and XP Trail objects as hairs. Even with UV assignment. So you can give some gradient to produce random colors every lines.'
Can now do some great stuff exporting fibermesh hair as curves from zbrush.
Thanks for thinking about broadcast users.
Much better than my crazy convoluted method proposed earlier lol.
Thanks
Craig.

hi,
i have a problem with hdri-enviroment-object and a colorcorrection-filter. when you apply a colorcorrectionfilter to a loaded HDRI-Image all transformation-values are instantly ignored. you cant modify the Rotx Roty values any longer after applying a colorcorrectionfilter
thanks!

colorcorrection_bug.rar
thanks!

It's a behaviour. If first node is not a image, rotX and rotY will be ignored. Because you can have mixed images in this situation and plugin can't know which one will be translated.
You should translate it from transform of image texture.

hi ahmet,
one question: is it normal that the lightdistribution is completely different when using a colorcorrectionnode in the HDRI object? even if all values are standard in the colorcorrectionnode the resulting render looks different. could it be that the importance sampling is deaktivated while using the colorcorrectionnode?
with CC-node inserted
without CC-node
