Hi! I've experimented any crash in Beta 0.72 (SDK 1.20) while adjust color diffusion... nothing crash in the 1.18 3DSmax version.. but no problem.. Beta 0.72 (SDK 1.20)is a Beta! With te your new Node Editor..I'm secure that's work very fine.. The Material Node Editor is very impressive.. I want play soon with this :oops:

to do a comparision with 3dsmax is not fair ;)
We are young and c4d structure is very different and hard. To handle different scenes in same time is very difficult. You may know max not supports multiple documents.

0.72b is very stabile against olders, but not perfect. I hope to fix some bugs which can be found there. Did you get crash with a standart material or octane?

For node editor, if anyone to test it i can share a development version or a video.

Could you make it possible to save Untonemapped Pictures within the C4D Rendersettings Save dialog?

I have a problem there, when it comes to HDRI Images with values going above white.

Example:

1st Image:
Live Viewer save Dialog "Save as exr image..."
01_Save_As_EXR.jpg
2nd Image:
Live Viewer save Dialog "Save as exr image..." Exposure dialed down 3 stops in PS with the "Exposure" correction (Notice there is no information loss in the highlights)
02_Save_As_EXR_-3_Stops.jpg
3rd Image:
Saved through C4D save dialog (Renderd via the "Picture Viewer" as .exr) (Looks [about] the same as 1st Image)
03_C4D_EXR.jpg

4th Image:
Saved through C4D save dialog (Renderd via the "Picture Viewer" as .exr) Exposure dialed down 3 stops in PS (It has been tonemapped [clipped all above white information] so no highlight information is kept (results in dull to dark highlights like in an 8bit Picture).

Notice:
Of course I have converted the .exr´s to .jpg images for presentation purposes. I converted them after I processed the full 32bit EXR´s so no information was lost!


Please can you introduce a option where it is possible to save out untonemapped images through C4D?

Why?
This is important for compositing thus I get more realistic glow, motion blur, blur and dof (if i do it in post) due to the above white info that represents reality much better then a clipped to white footage!

hi

i have a simple question.
how can i see if my cinema scene fits in the storage of my grafic card?

i created some heavy scenes, then had to delete some trees to get it in the card.
for me its a tryout-thing.

Hi huebner,
A gpu monitoring program shows memory usage. You can check also in LiveViewer window info line.
There is a word similar to "Mem:123/300/1024". first number is "Used Memory", second "Free Memory" and last one is "Total Memory" for GPU.

I really hope you get the animation problem fixed. I get about 30-50 frames then it stops. I have the latest version. Very nice for stills but not so hot for animation.

Yes, i think that found the problem. If it can pass tests i'll updated plugin.
