Hi Guys,
I agree with you, Octane camera (and imager) and its connection in setup render panel, have to be fixed.
I'm thinking of making a report to give developers with all these issue between imager, camera etc.
Same thing for Octane camera and 3dsMax physical camera too.

clipping
In a large heavy scenes, clipping through the viewport octane useless, I'm working on locations for the film, I have a lot of inconvenience, other renderers working with standard features.
Play around with the best scenes in the 30-40-million polygons, so will understand why it is necessary to implement the standard clipping.
thanks for the work

it's been a while since we got a new build, anything coming before the new year?

Devs came to a conclusion where there will be nearly no TEST version. You'll have to wait a lot longer for future STABLE releases...

Yes, Oguzbir is right; but developers should be close enough to release a new version.

OK so there is this persistent bug - and now I know it's not me - the "Use viewport background" checkbox - never ever works from first try while actually rendering - it only updates the background when I reload the project and open viewport again
- this just has to be fixed, it seems not that important, until you really really need it, makes me look a bit incompetent when I give out 10 renders that look great on a transparency grey checkerboard, and they test it on a website with pure white, and it looks 30% darker - this is due to the optical illusion of working on a grey transparency checkertexture next to dark tones on the materials, which give out different contrast ..
- so I need some pure white, and just putting a white plane behind the object affects the shadows, I just need this to look white (or for whatever reason you would use the texture background) - maybe update so we can use the 3dmax solid colors as well
anyway - please do a review on that, and please fix the bug finally.. it has been like this forever, probably just needs to reload something when this checkbox is activated during a render

Hi acc24ex,
You are right, "use viewport backround" command works intermittently.
I will report the issue to the developers.
To use neutral background, you could save a gray rgb texture, to use as a reference,
just like in a photographic studios.
You should also have a calibrated monitor though.

yeah, I just used the white jpg for background, doesn't matter that it looks fine on neutral grey when final result goes on white, sort of..
- and I'm constantly working with products on white backgrounds, or transparent background - man is that difficult to achieve - to get the pure white on backdrops I end up doing stupid stuff like adding light to the backdrop material..
- can't find a better workflow so struggling through it until I do.. trying to use all the photographic tricks I can remember, and digital ones, probably have a lot more to study through
