I cannot get the "Animated Inage Sequence" to work in the renders in the Poser Plugin. For the life of me I can't figure it out.
Hi - can you tell me the version of the plugin that you are running pls? It's on the top of the dialog frame of the Octane Render Setup window.

Thanks

Paul

I am also unable to get animating images to work (but on the latest test version). I will need to have a closer look and get back to you.

Cheers

Image sequences were implemented by putting a coded image name into the Octane RGB Image node, which worked fine in Octane versions up to 1.20. However after that, the Octane API wipes the filename of an Image node if the file does not exist - so this method of implementing image sequences no longer works.

I have put in a change request to Otoy to rectify this. However there may be good reason for wiping the image filename if it doesn't exist, in which case the change request won't get through - and I'll need to think of anther way of doing it.

So, no news yet - but it's still on the "todo" list.

Apparently the Octane LiveDB is now kind of version depending. Is there a way, we can still get the v1.5 materials into the current plug-in version?
Or is there a new structure (nodes), so they're not compatible anymore, because or the differences?
Older versions of OctaneRenderer (standalone and plug-ins) won't even let you see the 1.5 mats. now, in the LiveDB.

Yes, there is a versioning system in the LiveDb - and I doubt materials created with 1.5 would download into 1.20, since there are new nodes in 1.50.

Is there a reason you cannot move to the last TEST build of the Poser plugin?

Paul
