Hi Paride,
can you look into multiple phoenix grids and slow processing times each frame even though 2 grids have liquids sims of around 10 mb per sim only but why processing times gets to 3-4 times slower because of more than 1 phoenix grid.
in the image attached you can see actual rendering is about 20% the rest is loading every frame to slaves wasting 80% pf render time Not sure what is being loaded to slaves for so long since 2 liquid sims are only 20 mb per frame that need to be updated .

a. just a scene no phoenix: 42 seconds render time

b. scene + 1 liquid grid (10 mb per sim per frame) : 1 min 07 sec

c. scene +2 liquid grids : 1 min 34 sec

UPDATE:

Also after activating the 4th slave with 4 more GPUs render time went from 1:34 to 2:17. Do you know why it got slower? is something wrong with the PC or network. It seems this forth slave makes it worse. 3 slaves are connected to the switch that is connected to the router and this 4th problematic slave is connected directly to the router like the master.

Thank you

thanks

3ds max 2016
Laubwerk 1-2-3
Octane Render 3,07-44

3x 1080 ti Win 10 390.77
Please correct the buffer filling
the render is frozen
I give you the right to use the scene for testing
Hi Elvissuperstar007,
as you can see in my video, Octane does not stop making every frame, I think it depends on Vram limit with framebuffer or Ram limit on slaves or something in your rigs, the scene is 31.419.577 polys GB 8.881 with 1080Ti and win10 you are in Vram limit.
I have no freezing with Titan X and win7 32GB.

memory is enough, exports to ORBX The render works but there can not be disabled MB
I uploaded you a video
scene loaded in the last post
1frame 7.784 Gb -next 2 frame 8.459 Gb -next 3 frame 7.784 Gb -next 4 frame 8.459 Gb ....... -next frame
I had to render each frame through a dynamic viewport! Make it possible to render the animation
Hi Elvissuperstar007,
I tested new version file, it seems to works fine too.

thank you, I will still give you a scene for tests of complex problems )
Here's a more correct scene for testing
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/EdFU/UESrXfMet
and a special script for loading texture paths

we do not need this scene MB
Hi Elvissuperstar007,
something issue seems to be in Octane properties between 3.06 and 3.07. MB, however, is set in Octane Render Setup> render setting

if you export ORBX stand.
25 frames and MB does not turn off

Hi Elvissuperstar007,
disable mb in 3dsMax before exporting to .orbx.

Hi coilbook,
in the past I had issue using router, never issue with switch.
You could do this test:
connect switch to router and link master and slaves to router, how do you think?
With this configuration never had issue, using at least CAT6
