My own CH1 chair, modeled in Maya. My first try with Octane. Sorry about the brutal aliasing here - can't be helped...
I think this might be the first entry from the linux version of Octane.

Wonderful work, Visfella.
I think a modified outdoor HDIR image--about one fourth of the top changed to white mimicking indoor lighting--would make your render more convincing. Nice modelling. :)

Love your chairs, Phr0stByte.
A changed perspective and a DoF would also be nice, I think, for an artistic purpose; unless you meant your render to be a perfect picture for a commercial catalog. Enjoyed your work. ;)

Thanks George! Yeah, this was just my first try with Octane - there will be many more to come. All my models are commercial, so yes, I am used to doing catalog type preview renders for the product. My next render will be much more sophisticated and more of a whole scene.

Thank you for your comment Sam !

I have updated my post and added a new picture.
I have big difficulties to get larger image. Each time I resize Octane window it crashes.
I have tried in dual view with the Node inspector on my right screen, but my 8800 GTS 512
is not enough powerful with that screen expanded, and It freezes. I even got a complet
computer freeze (requiring hardware reboot).

I like a lot the first kitchen image! ;)

Hi Here's my submission to the contest. It's a simple car render which I think every new render app should have :D Exported from Blender3d, lit using the galileo_probe, the render ran in several stages and lighting conditions and I used PS to composite them together to eliminate the fireflies etc. I found combining several frames of the same render to eliminate fireflies without blurring the image as badly. The WIP thread has proof pictures and information..

And heres the Final.
