Hi Elvissuperstar007, I believe the FogTool plugin or script is designed to create that volume light effect.
I don't know much about these types of plugins, but I think you could achieve the same result using FogTool in any environment.
Thank you for your comment, very kind of you.
Hi Pelana,
I took a look at your scene, it's just a slight settings mismatch.
The height falloff is way too high at 1000 with this combination of settings.
You also have noise active, scroll down in the FogTool - If you uncheck the noise you will see more fog .
Using noise will make other settings more sensitve - height falloff, especially. If you want noise you might need to adjust the scale of the noise as well.
For this scene, uncheck noise and change the height falloff to like 100 and go from there
If you want noise then use a very low height falloff, 1 for example and scale the noise appropriately to the correct size
Hope this helps

Amazing! even fog height is available. We've been waiting from otoy more environment features and better fog for years.

The main idea of the program is to adjust textures for further 3D model texturing — matching colors while preserving fine details. Adobe Photoshop is not capable of handling this properly.
Later, I will improve its batch processing, and it will also support macOS and Linux. The macOS version is already working, but I currently don’t have a MacBook to compile it. In the future, I will release it for that platform as well.
The main idea is to create software that doesn’t require installation. If your Windows system crashes and a project needs urgent work or you have to quickly deliver texture assets, the program can run directly from a USB drive. This is especially useful for architects and game developers who work with texturing in Substance 3D Painter
I wrote to Jules Urbach asking if they could include it in the subscription for free — it’s actually a really great tool for work.
