imanshirani,
Have you installed the plugin and daemon with the same SDK version?

Hi imanshirani,
Could you try manually setting the same master network port in the plugin as the standalone version?

Hi,
since versions 15.11 and 15.12 i'm having several and constant crashes when rendering into octane viewport (open octane viewport)
running the Nvidia studio drivers 572.16 (latest when posted) and previous versions (of drivers and octane 15.11) also had the same issue.
3ds max 2018.
the scenes are not that big (below 2 millon polys) forestpack but minimal.
i not able to isolate what could causing it but, as the copying any texture black body with ies was crashing. i think it has to do to the stability of the build itself.
unusual and a workflow killer.

regards

martin

Hello,

Why when I use 1 mb JPG image texture it uses around 200-300 mb of vram?

Also when using skin modifier on an animated mesh with vertex MB on rendering gets very slow

It seems I can reduce my issues, raising the GPU Headroom to 1024MB.
I also can eliminate the bug with forest objects not being visible anymore on later frames in some cases, when I not use them as a moveable proxy. But not nice in animations.
