Hi,
I started to use 2024.1_Alpha3 (21.02.2024) recently and there were some issues. I wanted to share my raw report here (I would want to make deeper tests but couldn't for now)

1) Sometimes all Image Texture node previews goes black. Node details show correct previews.
2) Noise nodes shows red preview. Node details show correct previews
3) if a material has both active anisotropylevel and displacement, LV produces weird results (attached)
(In another project, material has only displacement node active and that project was being rendered weird too. So I couldn't be sure which was triggering the problem)
4) In the test.c4D project file, while LV active, adding a simple plane object and dragging it produces error, same error comes while editing material. (log attached)

With the new version of Redshift coming out featuring an extremely powerful toon shader, is there any chance of an update on the Anime kernel that has been in development for some time?

The Anime Kernel is not necessarily the missing piece of the puzzle. A few added features on the existing toon rendering system in Octane would make it more versatile already, such as at shading level. Lino Grandi have been released exemplary toon demos and animation projects.
