It will not update if you add to empty Envinronment Tag ImageTexture node by this way :
env1.png
or by using icons :
env2.png
and this last method - if you drag HDR image from C4D Asset Browser
Maybe doesn't explaining it well! It's not same topic what I got from previous post. I assumed you're talking about editing parameters of image in tag.

No, in previous topic I said about GUI problems with updating color sliders - I had something changed in gfx card driver that cause delays. But now I noticed problems with Image node in specific situation where node is added from menu or by icons to empty environment tag - it doesn't update at all if image is loaded to it. I know that most of the users doesn't work that way but anyway I reported this.

It doesn't occurs on me, my advice to you do a reset on C4D preferences to defaults for Octane and C4D.

Texture Power from Settings-Other doesn't work. It always create ImageTexture node with Power=1. Can you set max value for that above 1 ? For example 5.

It's a power parameter for C4D's Bitmap nodes.

Hi,
My scene has many takes and layers.
A single take enables only one or 2 products on the scene.
All other objects are hidden.
When I try to render, "Export Materials" and "Updating..." processes takes 1 minute.
"Ignore unused materials" is enabled.
4 materials are being used for one take scene.3 of them shares same textures, just Albedo is different. There are 20-25 materials total.
Products have 4K Vertex Displacement materials.
Total polygon count 1-2M (Live viewer info) for one scene
Is that process time normal?
2023.1.2
Cinema 4D 2024.1

It depends to your material setup. You may have time consuming content which requires a lot of preparation time. Have you tried tweak/remove/compare it with one frame rendering in to LV for example?

I mean in requirements, it's not written "R2024.2.0", and I've seen previously on a post that Maxon changed some stuff in the core that was working before in c4d2023 for octane.
To rephrase my question, do you recommend working with this version and 2024.2.0 for production ?
