@EAHP74, a complete GUI redesign (I suppose that's what are you asking here?), is out of the question, at least for 1.0 final. OTOH, the developers are slowly adding new usability as they progress (like the improved color picker we got in the latest versions, for example)
The area that needs more improvement is shading (=creation of materials with nodes), which from the UI point of view is currently very basic (and still a mess). We would at least need copypaste / duplication support, moving nodes in&out of macro containers, grouping, hiding, proper panning with the mouse (now we got just two sliders), more interactivity - like if you doubleclick on a node (or just macro, for starters) in the outliner, the graph editor would jump to where the macro is on the 2D pane, a drop-down for already linked images, so we don't need to browse to image files each time we need the same texture, presets of macro inputs, etc., etc..
I hope that when RS will find the time to improve this area, they will start a thread asking for ideas, so that we can give some input...
