It's deeper than that. About the slow down, performances look pretty good here. We'll see.

I have to admit I’m tremendously excited but also somewhat nervous about this development. Octane Blender has been pretty stable for me over the last year. Not looking forward to possible “growing pains” from such a monumental code change. But such is the march of progress!
