Yes, you need to have a valid filename and location otherwise it will not save the file.

Thank you Beppe! I did not realize this was possible inside of Octane til now!

Anyone getting jaggies/anti-aliasing issues on the furthest/most fogged objects? (open the pic full size to see) I'm guessing that has to do with samples for info passes, but with 2021 I'm not sure where that is controlled from?

Hi muchogrande,
you are welcome :)

About the anti-aliasing issue, do you mind to share the scene so we can check?

ciao,
Beppe

Hello, I've been using Octane for years now and didnt know the post-compositing had this much to it. This is great! However Im using a newer version of octane and im stuck at step #7, as the opacity node doesnt have a mask pin. Any help? Thanks!

Hi Mylo,

AOV masking was changed in 2023.1.x versions.

Please try with 2023.1.3-R6, or 2024.1.2 versions (latest 2024.1.2-R2 has an issue in Compositor).

Now you need to create a "Mask with layer group" node than assign the Z-depth pass in layer 1 of the mask group node, and set the Source as "Inverse Luminance":
