I have sudden problem with production render and denoiser.
In interactive Viewport all is good, and the image gets denoised after samples are reached.
But when I press production render all frames are only stored as Beauty.
Usually I save the single image directly and it saves the denoised image. In previous versions, it saved the denoised frame fine. Has a new feature/setting introduced?

@mbetke
Try Octane preferences > Main settings > Use denoised beauty output instead of beauty
( perhaps )

That wired. I set it ages ago but now it was unchecked.
The funny thing about is, when I save out the image from interactive viewport, it always saved out the denoised image only.

When I use Direct Support with Railclone (latest version) it doesn't consider the changes I made to the mesh. I put an edit poly modifier on top of it to lower the curbs.
As soon as I switch to Standard Support, it works.

This version is not saving to EXR properly (AGAIN!)... i tried several combinations of settings (with ocio, without, force tonce mapping on/off... gamma hack on/off... )
and all pixels are clamped around 1... so. no hight dynamic range exr file here...
but i don't want to save the image from the octane render buffer.. .that is cheating and does not work in a production where you need to do some vfx and render sequences...
and sorry to ask but why is not all propperly set as default?
2020.2.3 11.09 at leat could save linear srgb properly with certain combinations besides i had to invent myself some workaround to make it work...
this version i couldn't make it work...
to test: save and exr with blown lights using the max frame buffer rending (not saving from octane viewport).. like you would when you render a sequence... open it in after effects, expose it down in 32 bits.. all the highlights do not recover... they are all dead...
i will test 11.12 to see if this goes on...

surely it will
this is exhausting...

Hi samsue,
could you explain your issue a little more by sharing a sample file as well?
Regards
Paride

Hi mbetke,
I could reproduce this issue. This will be fixed in the next release.
A work around for current version is to use Rebuild Scene after a mesh is changed..
Thanks
